20 Blog Post Must-Haves is the ultimate blogging checklist that has been endorsed by many awesome people who are well-known and who have large followings. (Take a look at the screenshots included in this article!) A must-have resource for bloggers, it is a step-by-step checklist that is jam-packed with information and links to the BEST articles I have found on the web. It is also illustrated by yours truly! Images accompany major points, designed to help bloggers reach their blogging potential!

Even though you may be an an experienced blogger, there is always room for improvement. No one is perfect, but reaching new personal heights as a blogger is easily accomplished by using the checklist of tips offered in  my guest post on Dear Blogger.

You can also read an excerpt from the ebook in this post. It includes additional tips that are not in my ebook, 20 Blog Post Must-Haves, too, since I wanted to give people an idea of my expertise as a blogger. Plus, not everyone can afford to spend $5 in today’s rough economy.

If you are one of the few people who can, and want to improve your blogging skills, you can also choose to get all 20 Blog Post Must-Haves – designed to help you improve your blog posts! The price? A $4.99 cup of coffee (with muffin or doughnut – whatever you prefer).  I wanted to keep it affordable, even though it is easily worth $20.  FREE! Simply sign up to my newsletter.

I wish that I had this ebook available to me. Now it is! I use this checklist every time I create a blog post! It is indispensable to me, and I know you will feel the same way about it that I do. A recently published article about adding tags to your posts was just published, too, and if it had been published last week, it would have made it into my book!

It really is a good book. It received many RTs (retweets) on Twitter – and connected me with a few more influential people.

Some of the wonderful people who helped me get the word out are:

Danny Iny from FirePole Marketing who now has a new website design.

Thanks, Melissa. I know you were one of the first to buy it – even when free copies were available, and your support means a lot to me. I’m so happy you are finding it useful! 😀

    Hey, Lorraine!
I have launched new blogs and am wondering how to boost traffic for them (or in general).
P.S. One of the blogs is run by me but has multiple contributors who do most of the posting.

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Felicia, I have no idea other than using social media to help you. Maybe you can try Ana’s ideas from Traffic Generation Cafe. If you figure it out, let me know! I am not a traffic specialist even though I DO know about writing and publishing blog posts!

Well, there’s a difference between selling a book on Amazon and selling one on a blog. 😉 I still needed help getting it out there! And love everyone who is helping me spread the word. 😀

  2. Hey Lorraine,

Well congratulations on the book and sounds like you’ve had some good support behind you already. I have no doubt you’ll receive more as well and I’ll be sure to spread the word as well. As I always say, we’re all a work in progress so any help we can get to make us better we should take advantage of it. I’m sure your book is chalked full of goodies.

Best of luck to you and have a wonderful week.

    Your blog rocks Lorraine 🙂
And I’ve something to tell you~
    POW
You’ve just been Liebster smacked 😉

I’ve nominated it for the Liebster Award
I like it, love the wealth of info here and I know others will too.

It’s up to you whether to accept or demure, of course.
Please go to my latest post: http://wp.me/2MHY5 for all the info. 🙂

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Thanks for the nomination, Cee Lee! 😀 I have already accepted this award TWICE…and have been nominated two more times…but I will take a look and add a link to your post in my next acceptance. Thank you for thinking of me, chickie! 😉 Where have you been?

      • CeeLee says

        You are very welcome 🙂

It’s easy to see why you’ve been nominated
so many times. I visit as often as I can.

        Where have I been?
        Well…it’s a long story and
NaNoWriMo may or may not have been involved. 😉

        • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

I know, it’s tough to do a zillion things at once. I can certainly relate to this. And I don’t have ADHD, so I cannot even imagine what it is like to be you!

Oddly enough, you were on my list of nominees for this award. I noticed this when I updated my post. It is set to run on Friday. LOL The internet really is a small world, isn’t it?

Good luck with your NaNoWriMo goals, Cee Lee!

          • CeeLee says

Great minds Lorraine, great minds lol

Thank you for thinking of me for the nomination that I superseded and for the NaNoWriMo encouragement. 😉

            • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Yes, CeeLee, great minds think alike.

BTW, did you know that you can get a tracker for your blog, to show others of your NaNo progress? A really nice lady, Svenja Liv, created one for anyone to take! You can find it HERE. All you do is fill out the fields with your count, then copy the code and paste it into a text widget. You can choose your colour, too! I have a red one on my blog. Did you notice it?

To update your count, just repeat the process! 😀 Write on!

              • CeeLee says

I did see your pretty red NaNo word tracker 🙂

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction to get my own.
They are definitely easier for me to keep up with.
Did you see the Nano spread sheets? I love them too!

Keep writing, I’ll keep cheering for ya 😉

                • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

No, I didn’t see the spreadsheets, probably because I am not officially signed up. Do you have a link to them?

                  • CeeLee says

Indeed I do have the link Lorraine 🙂
Check them out here-this guy is good!
You know me and my need for visual-this rocks. 🙂

                    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Awesome stuff, right? I think I saw these already. 😉 But good that you love them. That’s why they’re there! Write on, CeeLee, and keep tracking your progress!

And don’t get discouraged, either, since this is a HUGE undertaking! It’s okay not to finish or to be slow in meeting your goals. 😉

                    • CeeLee says

Not getting discouraged is easier said than done.
Twice now, I’ve looked at the NaNoWriMo story and wondered if I shouldn’t
put it and me, out of our collective miseries.
Battling the inner editor is worse than any real life one I think.

I haven’t done it so far, and I do keep on writing.
That must count for something LOL
How’s yours coming along? No inner editor nagging you, I hope? 🙂

                    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

I will admit that I am not workin on my book as diligently as I had planned. I have about seven projects on the go, and each is time-consuming. Besides, my book isn’t a work of fiction, but based on my life and experiences, so it’s an emotional journey. Not that that’s an excuse. I’m just saying how it is.

My editor always rears her ugly head, too. 😉

Good for you for writing! 😀

                    • CeeLee says

And your book will be all the more meaningful for the way it’ll help you to work through those memories. 🙂

                      Keep going!
I know we both can do it-even if not on time LOL

                    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Thanks, CeeLee, for the positive reinforcement!

As for the time limits? Ha! I know I will not be done in the next five days. I might not even be done in the next five months! LOL

                    • CeeLee says

Not finishing on time? That applies to you and me both.

It seems as though the minute I say,
“I’m doing NaNoWriMo!” the statement is heard by Murphy’s Law and it triggers all sorts of unique snafus to interfere. Go figure LOL

  4. Hey Lorraine,
Congrats on the book release. You worked hard on it, and I am sure it is great to finally see the results of your work. I will certainly help you get some more exposure, as I know how hard it is. I have another friend who wrote a book and actually published it in paper form – about meditating.
    Anyway, have a great week.
    Ashley

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

      Thanks, Ashley, for everything!

Marketing is really not my thing, so I appreciate any pointers I can get, and any help that is offered! Thank you!

Who is your friend? What is his/her book called?

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Twitter is still proving to be a learning experience for me – sorry, Greg!

p.s. Where’s your face on your gravatar? If you don’t have one yet, you should get one! Ahem. Listen to me telling you what to do… LOL. But do it!

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Dale, thank you for your comment, and for stopping by. If I help just one person, I will have done my job. 🙂 However, I hope to help many!

  5. Hi, Lorraine. I’m a fellow Canadian here on a quick visit from the IU Blog Fest.

The only thing I’d change on your blog would be the titles. I find them distracting because of the large font used.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I see a lot of useful information here.

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Kathy, the theme I am currently using does not allow me to change the size of the font for my titles. Sorry! I chose this theme so that my posts can be read from cell phones. I am probably on my fifth or sixth theme, too. I know I cannot please everyone, but I am trying! (And if the only thing you would change about my blog is the font size, then that must mean you like the rest!) 😉

I am happy you see a lot of useful information here. My aim is to educated! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, and please come again. You will find some useful information in many of my posts — check out my Post List page for a complete list!

      • You’re right, Lorraine. The font was the only thing that looked distracting. I understand your frustration. I created a child theme for my blog and made extensive changes. It’s still not 100% the way I want it, but there aren’t enough hours in the day to tweak as much as I’d like.

The information here is the great plus for visitors. 🙂

        • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

I would consider changing themes again, but I think the titles would be big no matter what. They were on the others; perhaps not as big as on this one, but then again, they were not “responsive” themes (good for cell phones). So I am not sure what to do. I will see if there is any way that I can alter the size, but I doubt it. Sigh.

Nothing is ever perfect, it seems, no matter how hard we try, is it?

FYI, you should post some links on my Promote Yourself! thread.

  6. Lorraine,
This is wonderful! Hey, I know most of the people you have captured via twitter. What a small world isn’t it? Without even clicking this link, I know this is full of great information, because you are a great writer and blogger. So my dear…I’m off to spread the word to my peeps,
    -Donna

    • Lorraine Marie Reguly says

Donna, isn’t it funny how the universe is so vast and yet the internet seems so small at times?

Helping others learn is part of my calling as an educator; even though I am no longer teaching high school, I still feel the need to help others.

Thank you VERY MUCH for helping me get the word out to others. My marketing skills are not the best, and I need all the help I can get!

It never ceases to amaze me how we each can put our own unique skills together to help change the world… or at least our blog posts! 😉

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Donna. I appreciate it!
