Last year, I submitted one of my True Tales Tuesdays posts, How I Nearly Died, to a memoir anthology. This book is now being sold on Amazon, too!
You can buy a copy of What’s Your Story? 2013 Memoir Anthology simply by clicking on this link.
From their website:
Rights: By submitting to the anthology you give Karenzo Media the nonexclusive license to reprint your work on a one-time basis, for the life in print of the anthology, and you retain the copyright and all other rights. If your work was previously published, please check with your publisher regarding whether or not you can publish an excerpt of your work in an anthology.
Who knew that having my appendix burst would change my life in so many ways? Certainly not I.
No go burst your appendix – I dare you. 😉
Congratulations Lorraine! Just wondering, how do you find out about submitting work to these kind of anthologies?

Sherri, I believe I found out via one of my LinkedIn groups, but I honestly cannot remember which one. (I belong to about forty groups.) Someone had started a discussion, and I simply followed the rules.
If you want to see and join similar groups, go to my profile to see which ones I’m a member of, and then ask to join them! I’d recommend adjusting your settings, too, to get weekly instead of daily mail from them, otherwise you’re going to get overwhelmed with the notifications. It’s been a learning curve for me.
I hope this answers your question and then some…
Congratulations Lorraine. I remember how thrilled I was when “Trapped” my short story, was accepted at Buddhapuss Ink for the anthology Mystery Times Nine 2012. I don’t get any royalties for it either, but I love the fact my story is being read.

Donna, I know exactly how you feel – and congratulations to you, too! Apparently, I can now put up an author page on Amazon because of this, and indicate that I’m a contributor. An author from Indies Unlimited told me this. Pretty cool, huh? Did you know this?
That’s awesome Lorraine! Just getting your name out there is good, but then, you have been a very busy bee. I keep commenting on your posts, or hearing about your blog but I haven’t been to your site in a while 🙂 …until now. It looks awesome and I love the name.
It’s good to see you again, Debra! Yes, I’ve been extremely busy, getting the site going (still needs a bit of work) and doing a ton of other stuff. I’m happy to be included in this anthology, too!
I’m glad you like the name I selected. 🙂
