The “UNDER CONSTRUCTION PAGE” plugin is something most bloggers will need and should have.
It’s helpful to use when you are working on your website.
For experienced bloggers:
Instead of your visitors getting a 404 error, it will show them that your site is still there, and is still active, but that you are working on it to make it better!
For new bloggers:
It also works great as a “coming soon page”! For example, you can publish the “under construction page” even while you’re still searching for a theme you’ll be using on your website (if you’re a new blogger, or if you’re changing the theme), etc.
This FREE plugin will also protect you in Google while you work on your precious website! You will not lose any of your rankings! 🙂

And the best part? It’s optimized for SEO!

Look!
The plugin is also updated every two weeks because the developers add a new theme/design every time. They also fix any bugs add new features when possible!
It’s also possible to whitelist usernames and user roles so that users can avoid seeing the maintenance page, and still see the normal page they are working on. This is important for admins who want to make changes on the live site while all the others would still get the “under construction page.”

Hi Lorraine,
I know the 404 error page looks disturbing. Nobody likes to see it. I am changing the look and feel of one my websites so will definitely be using an under construction page. It is the way to go.

Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome. I hope it helped you!
To construct a website could reduce the visiting users due to its unavailability and user getting 404 errors. Being a blogger I understand the necessity of website rankings in Google. The website being available for the users even while it is under construction is a blessing and I will definitely use them for my website to get it ranked amongst top Search Engines.
Yeah, no one likes those 404s!
I’m glad you will take precautions to prevent this for you visitors!
Sounds like a cool plugin Lorraine. A must have for aspiring bloggers and for bloggers hatching new sites. Improve your presentation and keep your brand looking strong.
Exactly, Ryan!
The best part about it… it’s free. 😉
That’s one of the reasons I love WordPress so much — all the cool, free plugins there are to use!
Hi Lorraine,
There are times when we may want to change the look of our site. It is normal. I could remember when you asked for the theme to change your author site and you got recommendations.
However, with this post and its benefits people could easily restructure their site without losing their readers and rankings. I haven’t used this tool before, but, I believe it’s a great one.
Thanks for sharing.
~ Prince.
Prince, it sure looks and sounds like a great plugin to use!
Thanks for your comment.
I have recently improved my author site, by the way!
